Overall, cars have been the transportation people prefer mostly since 1995 and so on. Otherwise, others types of transportation had the lowest position over three decades.
Regarding the upward trend, the percentage of travel by car started at 30% and soared drastically to above 80% between 2000 and 2005. Therefore, the rate of car travel had a slight fall before took a surge up to 74% and landed at 70%. Additionally, bus travel rates peaked at 55% in the first year but dropped significantly to 11% in only three years and had a final decrease in 2015 after the percentage remained continuously stable back to 2005 and 2010.
Concerning the reversed tendency, the others’ travel mean tended to possess the lowest stand with under 10% over a period. Similarly, rail travelled mostly in the first and last year with its percentage of travel taking 20%. From 1985 to 2000, rail had its travel percentage gradually decreased to 9% in year after 2000, but in following years the rail percentage rose to nearly 20% and stopped in 2010.
