The presented map points out proposed sites for the development of the School in the town of Canterbury.
Overall two sites are considered for the school development labeled as S1 and S2.
The first site (S1) is located in the northeast in the countryside on the edge of the housing area, a few miles away from the main road, connecting sturry to the town centre. This location is easily accessible to students coming from Sturry only to commute a distance of 5km as well as children coming from town itself. However, students from Chartham can face issues travelling a distance of 7 km.
In contrast, site (S2) a location which is situated in downtown itself, is accessible from both sturry located in the extreme south-west to Chartham, as it is not only equidistant but accessible by children’s living in the town and also from the housing area surrounded. Although being a no-traffic zone in the town could cause some problems for parents to take their children to school. Some middle-ground can be created amid this for easy access by eliminating unnecessary travel time.
