The two maps illustrate how five decades reshaped the layout of the Beachfront area.
From an overall perspective, the area has undergone significant transformations with the addition of new features such as Car parks, Surf club and restaurant in place of old features like playground and vacant places. Of particular note is the expansion of the road and the Car park, also the removal of the playing area.
In 1950, the Beachfront area was simply laid. What could be seen on the northern-west side of the map was a playground for children, while on the northern-east side pavilion and picnic area located to make a room for parents. The road to the city was situated on the top of the map connected with a car park. When it comes to the bottom of the map, the beach was located with 25 m pools. On the right hand side of the map was the Lighthouse.
Since then, the Beachfront area has changed notably. One of the significant transformations was the expansion of the road, which has access to the Lighthouse. Subsequently, the removal of the playground which is at present substituted with the new Car park, also the car park doubled and expanded in size. What can be seen on the southern side of the map is the beach, which has been altered dramatically, on the left-hand and right-hand side of the map, surf club and restaurant have built, and the size of the pool increased to 50 metres. Remaining places such as Lighthouse and Pavilion stayed the same.
