The given maps illustrate the layout of a seaside village in 1995 and how it has been developed to now.
As is apparent from the given maps, it is clear that, during these three decades, the village has witnessed a gentrification, with infrastructural advancements and additional housing , roads.
The most noticeable change in the Northwest is the additional housing and roads on both sides of the main road, with 1 more house has been added to each side of the road and an extra road has been introduced on the left side of the main road; moreover, two new houses have been constructed next to a group of four houses which is located on the South side of the branch road. Meanwhile, in the Northeast, the farmland and forest park which were located in the top right corner of the map have been respectively converted into an expanded golf course and a small tennis court.
Moving onto the Southeast of the seaside village, a car park has been added next to the right side of a hotel which is located on the North side of a road, whereas a new cafe has been built on the opposite side of the hotel. The fishing port on the sea which used to be located in the South has been demolished and the fish market which was located on the opposite side of the fishing port has been replaced with apartments and the fish market used to have six blocks, now there are only 4 blocks left. The shops, previously located opposite the fish market, have been converted into restaurants with 5 blocks still remain the same.
