Band 4: The map shows changes in some region of the city in 2035. (User-Written IELTS Writing Task 1 Sample)

The maps below depict the Rampart street in the present day, and the future developments planned for 2035.

Overall, there have been several changes, but the most noticeable being is the west side where there have been spectacular developments. Moreover, a bicycle lane has also been built.

In the present year, on the western side it remained empty with only the food store, embassy and the hotel. On the northern side an old big castle was present. There was also a construction site in the southern area. The current map layout also shows many apartments and housing areas for residence.

Regarding redevelopment layout for 2035, pub and restaurants were planned next to the food store. An exhibition center is also going to be added right next to the hotel, along with the gift shop. In the southern side a florist’s shop was designed to be build. The old castle was to be reconstructed and a lake is to be build. Another two most noticeable features was observed. Firstly, there have a bicycle lane to be introduced for riders. Secondly, more trees and plants were to be planted for a more sustainable environment.
