The two charts describe the current layout of an industrial site and its redevelopment plan.
Overall, the site is expected to have striking changes in order to accommodate the increasing demands of residents. Many factories and office buildings will be replaced by houses and new infrastructures to create a new residential area.
Both the current and future site is surrounded by four streets: Chimney Road on the North, Pie Walk on the East, Swallow Street on the South and Toe Lane on the West. A west-east parking on the right of Toe Lane street and a storage area opposite it will be transformed into a 3-bedroom house on the NorthWest and a 4-bedroom house on the SouthWest for future usage. Another notable change will be the conversion of a large factory into a new apartment on the SouthEast and a parking area next to the Pie Walk. The entrance, reception and yard will be replaced with three 2-bedroom houses and communal gardens, covered by three private roads for easier resident access. Finally, the previous office blocks and a canteen, located between the storage and factory will be demolished and replaced with new parking garages near the Swallow street.
