The pictures illustrate the current layout of Southwest Airport, and its planned alterations in the next year. Overall, the airport will undergo signifcant changes, with an increase in the number of gates and the addition of customer-facing facilities.
Regarding a departure and arrival areas, the location will remain the same. A check-in in the departure area is expected to be relocated from the left side to the right side to create space for a bag drop area. Moreover, a café that is currently located opposite to the check-in area will be repositioned closer to the departure hall doors. Turning to the arrival area, which was absolutely empty, will house a new cafe, an ATM machine, and a car hire zone.
Concerning the remaining areas, security, passport control, and customs will be unchanged. New shops will be constructed passing through security, whereas the area after the customs and passport control will stay empty. The most conderable changes will involve replacing two walkways with a sky train and increasing the number of gates from 8 to 18 leading to it.
