The two maps illustrate the transformation of island from 1995 to 2005.
Overall, the area has undergone significant development. It can be seen that a bridge was built to connect the island with the mainland, while a large amount of road networks were added, allowing visitors to observe wild animals. In addition, the most noticeable changes include houses, tour boat, and a resort.
At the beginning of the given period, there were three main avenues, which link to the beaches on the northwest and east sides of the island, whereas the other linking between a residential area and a port. In this period, there was a car ferry which can be used for travelling to the mainland. Furthermore, seals and penguins can be found on the northern part of the island.
By 2005, more roads had been constructed in order to connect to new housing units, and a resort had been introduced at the bottom of where penguins lived. Moreover, the car ferry had been replaced by the bridge, while a walking track had been built almost around the island.
