The 2 maps demonstrate the changes of a bookstore in 2000 and now.

The current bookstore has changed its layout. The art, hobbies and cookery books placed in the centre previously were all moved to the side sticking to the walls. Moreover, there were origianally 2 long, large shelves of fiction books were minimised into a small square shelve. What’s more is that the non-fiction books that were initially placed near the service desk were relocated to the right corner of the bookstore.

The location of travel and new books remain unchanged, still locating near the entrance. Over and above that, the service desk is still placing at the left corner of the bookstore. Notably, there are 2 new facilities added currently. First of all, the original area for non-fiction books is replaced by a cafe for customers to enjoy themselves with a cup of coffee. Apart from that, tables and chairs are added in the middle area of the store for visitors to sit down nd read.

Overall speaking, several changes are made in the bookstore now, bookshelves were relocated and resized while a reading area with tables and chairs is added. Also, a new cafe is opened as well.
