The given illustrations depict the replacement of a coal mine with a destination of tourism in the past and the present to attract visitors.
Overall, the main facilities of mine are related to exploiting coal consisting of an office, a car parking, a director board, and two waste tips. The area underwent significant multiple changes, especially the additions of numerous infrastructures with the purpose of developing tourism.
From the past, regarding the entrance underground for workers of this area, to the side of the main rounded circle-shape, there was an entrance and director board lying opposite to each other. To the Northwest of the colliery, an office and a staff changing room were laid vertically along the side. Moreover, there was a parking area at the left corner of the map, including a car parking next to them. To the right of the coal extraction site, the main two waste tips were settled which take half the area.
At present, an entrance underground and a parking area are still laid at the original position but it is used for visitors, while a new museum replaced an administrative work area along the Northwest. Also, the most notable of which is the conversion of the main area that is surrounded by a block, including a cafe is situated in the left side, as well as a digging driving track and a picnic area is opposite. Finally, the bottom of the map witnessed the appearance of a small lottery park and a children’s play area.
