Overall, it is apparent that the transformation over time, while the education faculty and the port remained in position, there has been a turn from a minimal structure into an abundance of residential and commercial complexes.

In 2000, Nelson had a minimal structure with a city center area in the middle, and its west side exhibited the traditional market. Furthermore, the infrastructure road was located opposite these two to the south. The port was aligned alongside the riverside, which is noticeable at the bottom of this map, whereas an education amenity stays on the top way up north, with the greenery space on the right-hand side. The train station was found right below the university in the southeast position.
