The maps show Harton in 2008 and 2016. The geographical object of the area that stays the same is only the river. The lake has shrunk (even is called a pond now), and the woodland has decreased by almost a half.
At both side of the river, there are areas for people and their activity. The northern side of the river is more diverse than southern part. In 2008, the southern part is used as an industrial complex, accompanied by a residential area. In 2016, the industrial complex has grown enormously, and the residential area has vanished.
In the northern part, there were two seperate residential areas, an art center, a school, an old town, and a warehouse in 2008. In 2016, one residential area near the river has become shopping center, the art center transformed into a cinema, a car park where the warehouse was, and the old town is split into office and university.
