The given maps illustrate how the town of Lakeside changed after some development at the beginning of the 21st century.
Overall, the given area witnessed drastic changes during the period shown. The most noticeable difference is that the town became more of an industrial area with many buildings for leisure facilities and educational centers.
As can be seen from the chart, on the northeast side of the Lakeside, there were two residential areas and four other buildings in 2000, in the next nine years, it has increased the number of buildings. One of the residential area and arts center were demolished to make way for shopping center and multi-screen cinema. In 2009, the appearance of car park and offices replaced derelict warehouses and old town buildings. Additionally, in the latter version of the side, more education facilities bring up such as schools and universities.
On the other side of the river industrial field expanded significantly and took the place of the citizen’s area. Moreover, on the North side of the map, there was a large location where there was a Woodland and lake in 2000, the placement was reduced in size and the lake was replaced with a pond so that the majority of trees were chopped down after 9 years.
