The image shows two labeled maps representing the town of Lakeside for the years 2000 and 2009. The images display a noticeable development transition within the town over the period. In 2000, the town included features like a residential area, derelict warehouses, woodland surrounding a lake, the old town, an arts center, a school, another residential area, an industrial complex along a river, and a third residential section. By 2009, several changes are visible: the derelict warehouses are replaced by a car park, new offices and a university adjacent to the same woodland which now contains a pond instead of a lake, the arts center site is taken over by a multi-screen cinema, and a shopping center sits where the school was, while the rest of the areas remain unchanged.
Given the complexity of the image, the above description may not be entirely accurate.

The two maps show the same town of Lakeside as it was in 2000 and some changes to the place in 2009.
Firstly, it can be seen from the maps that the derelict warehouses and the Old Town were replaced with a car park, some new offices, and a university to the North of the Woodland. Secondly, the Woodland was cut down in the North of the town while the lake was transformed into a pond there. Also, the arts centre disappeared next to the residential area while a multi-screen cinema was constructed in that place.
As the maps show, the school was converted into schools near the river. Additionally, the residential area was demolished along the river while a new shopping centre was built instead. Moreover, the industrial complex increased in size in the corner of the town.
Overall, it can be observed that the town was developed. Thus, it became more convenient for town dwellers and students.
