The maps represent the state of the Templeton resort in 2000, as well as the changes that occurred there up until 2013.
Overall, the Templeton underwent significant developments during the period, with many residential, industrial, and commercial facilities being constructed, which took a heavy toll on the environment.
In the north-western section of the town, the couple of houses and a few trees made way for three new blocks of flats next to the lake, with four private houses being constructed across the road to the north. To the east, across the river, a new airport was built in place of the previously bushed area next to the school, while the house with a few trees was demolished north to the aforementioned school. Moving to the eastern corner of the map, two additional houses near the hospital were built next to the railway, which expanded significantly to the east across the river, resulting in the demolition of the residential houses in the area. It is also worth mentioning that a brand new factory was constructed along the same coastline rail path. Another notable feature is a sea ferry, which now transports cars along the sea line. Finally, across the railroad bridge to the east, three new apartment complexes and a supermarket replaced the seven homes, blocks of flats, and many trees that stood here.
In conclusion, the town of Templeton became much more urbanized and industrialized during the period, while the area’s ecology took a heavy blow from this renovation.
