The given maps compare how the layout of Frenton has been changed over a 22-year period since 1990.
Overall, it is clear that there were a lot of changes in city, including new buildings and amenities.
On the left side of the high street, the playing fields with trees were demolished and replaced by the blocks of flats. Next, facing that flat, the hospital has been widened. To the left of it, the bank was converted into the restaurant. Becoming less green, the garden being located in south-western corner was altered to build up the new technopark. By comparison, the school and library were left unchanged.
On the right side of the street, the houses located in the eastern part were turned into apartment buildings. A new area for flats was allocated. Next noteworthy change was conversion of the café and park into a hotel and golf course place, providing new facilities to the people. The places which saved relatively same functionalities are cinema and supermarket, replacing their former theatre and shops, respectively.
