The pictures illustrate how a road system is proposed to be changed in the future for a reduction in the number of accidents.
Overall, the road networks will undergo a number of significant transformations, the most important of which were the addition of traffic lights and a roundabout and the removal of abrupt turns to reduce hotspots for crashes.
Looking first at the middle of the map, a roundabout is going to be built which will be a conjunction between the two main roads. Moreover, the City Road is predicted to be fixed straighter than now to diminish an abrupt turn near the Forest Road. Therefore, this can alleviate one site having frequent accidents on this road.
Turning to the left side of the Forest Road, the Low Lane leading to the school on the north west of the map is expected to be removed and this way will be repaired on the corner, thus abandoning one dangerous turn that might cause accidents. Another significant change is that four traffic lights are being constructed on each side of the crossroad while a housing area will still remain unchanged.
On the right side of the Forest Road, a new path directing from the roundabout to the supermarket will be erected at the expense of the present way on the west-eastern part of the road system. Consequently, this might remove one site that often results in frequent accidents on the City Road leading to the supermarket.
