Overall, the city centre has become more developed and resident-oriented, with new shopping mall and apartment blocks replaced older buildings.
In 1990, on the south side there were diversity of houses along the Green street, being made only for cars traffic movement. Two banks devided by the street were located on the east side. Multuple shops and a childcare centre, which took place on the north, come next. In front of them, in the middle of the square there were the Library, the Park and the Town Hall.
Today the town centre has faced innovations, such as pedastrian crossings in the Green and Oldfield streets added. Newsagent’s, Grocer’s, Baker’s, Butcher’s, Cafe were renovated into a Shopping Mall. In terms of customers’ safety, the Smith street is restricted removing the flow of cars.
