The maps illustrate expansion occurred in a waterside town named Portview starting from 1990 to 2010. Overall, during the period, there were dramatic changes, this area has been developed with buildings and facilities, several places were relocated and removed.
To begin with Portview in 1990, Elvin Street crossed from the north to the south, dividing the area into left and right side. Regarding the center of the west side , an enormous farmland took most of the part, located between the golf course and swimming pool to the north and south relatively. Resorts were located to the east of the golf club. Surprisingly, there was only one shopping mall situated next to the farmland. Turning to the east of the street, several shops were lined attached to waterfront street connecting with the main road. A pier was located between the main street and the ocean.
Moving on to the seaside town in 2010, many changes were clearly observed. To the west of the road, farmland was removed, replaced by a park area where people can spend time, sitting on the bench or walking on a footpath surrounded by trees and small water holes. The accommodation was renovated into a five-stars hotel as well as the shopping mall becoming a shop complex. The swimming pool has been separated into three amount. To the west of the street, a car park was constructed for people to enjoy visiting shops which were increased, placed on both sides of the subsequent street. Likewise, the pier was improved by including North and South pier.
