The maps illustrate the layout of the center of Islip, showing both its current design and future development plans.
Overall, the locations of shops will be changed and although, their areas will be reduced, the shopping centre will be built. Additionally, the residential areas will be expanded and altered. The bus station, parking area and carriageway will be created, and the pedestrians’ way will be added. Furthermore, the park will be reduced, due to the new road.
Currently, the shops are located opposite places which are situated in the countryside. The road go through the shops. The school is situated in the southwest of Islip, and the park is located in the southeast of Islip. The three areas of the housing are surrounded by the shops dramatically, park and school slightly.
In the future, the locations of shops will be changed and their future locations will be the middle line of the carriageway. The Bus station and shopping mall, pedestrians’ cross and car parking will be built and they will be located in the northwest of Islip town center. Although, the area of the school will be enlarged and its location will not be changed, the area of the park will be reclined and the east side of that will be surrounded by the carriageway. The housing area will be detached and one area of that will be situated outside of the road.
