Dear Mr. and Mrs. Smith,
I hope you are doing well. Firstly, I am grateful that you sent me the invite for Chris’s party but I am afraid to inform you, that I will not be able to take part in this wonderful celebration due to some personal reasons.
To begin with, Chris and I are buddies from last 5 year, I know how excited and stun he will be after knowing about this event. Birthdays are indeed special and he keeps quoting about his childhood time when birthdays included lots of food, presents and joyful dance. In fact today, he joked around, asking me what am I going to gift him? and he was admen that I have be part of this day.
However, I have some family duties which I cannot miss out. My grandmother is suffering through cancer from past 3 years and she is currently undergoing through medical treatment. It is so unfortunate that this surprise party falls on the same day, when her appointment is scheduled and now I feel bad that I will be missing out this party.
My sincere apology for declining you warm invite, but I plan to surprise him by taking him to his favorite cafe, once I finish my family duties. He enjoys going there and its out hang out place, where I will gift him air pods; that he is trying to buy since last summer. I hope he likes it and this compensates for his birthday function.
Your Sincerely,
Jay Pandya
