A glance at the bar chart provided reveals some notable proportion of male and female executives in six various field– Construction, Manufacturing, Wholesale & Retail trade, Public administration & Defence, Education, And Health & Social Work– across the UK for 2007.
Overall, it is evident that most of the males were connected with Construction; whereas, females were associated with Health & Social work. Interestingly, number of male and female executives were similar for Wholesale and Retail trade.
In terms of males, Construction was the most popular category with 90% men. This was followed by Manufacturing and Wholesale & Retail trade, where men accounted for 70% and 50%, respectively. The least favored profession for men was Health & Social work, with only 20%.
Regarding female executives, Health & Social Work was the most prefered profession with 80% laddies. This was followed by Education and Public administration & Defence, where women made up 70% and 60% respectively. The least attractive field for women was Construction, with only 10%. Surprisingly, the percentage for Wholesale & Retail traid was similar, at around 50% for both genders.
