Overall, the figures for female workforce showed upward trends in business, building and social services, the reverse was true for remaining figures.As for men, while the figures for building showed downward trends, the opposite was true for remaining figures. In addition, both genders exhibited highest proportions in the figure for services and sport.
Regarding male workers first, the figures increased gradually.
Starting with 22% in 1993, the figure for services and transport increased considerably to 31% in 2003. The figure for agriculture was equal to 38% in 1993, after which decreased dramatically to 8% in the end of the period. The figure for business stood at 7% in the beginning of the period, a figure then increased significantly to 25%. The figure for manufacturing accounted for 16% in 1993, after which increased steadily to 17%. The figure for building stood at 12% in 1993, a figure then had a marginal decrease to 10% in 2003. The figure for social services started at 5% in 1993, after which increased negligibly to 9% in the end of the period.
As for female workers, the percentages for services and transport stood at 53%,a figure then witnessed noticeable decrease to 36% in 2003. The figure for agriculture was equal to 8% in 1993, after which decreased negligibly to 6% in 2003. The figure for business accounted for 1% in 1993, a figure then had a dramatic growth to 22% in 2003. The figure for manufacturing started at 25% in 1993, then it decreased sharply to 12% in 2003. Starting with 0% in 1993, the figure for building increased slightly to 6% in 2003. The figure for social services accounted for 13% in the beginning of the period, after which grew marginally to 18% in 2003.
