The maps show how a museum’s plant changed from 1998 to 2008.
Overall, the museum’s layout underwent significant changes and become more modern and more recreational. This came with the introduction of a new restaurant, a cafe with a sitting area, and the addition of fountains.
Turning to the details, the museum used to offer very few facilities in 1998. While, a temporary exhibition room was located in the bottom left corner of the building, the bags and coats were in the bottom right corner, next to which is a shop. As for the central part of the museum, there was a garden in the middle, with a cafe above it and the tickets (entrance/exit) below the garden. Moreover, the permanent exhibition rooms were situated in the north west and in the north east of the building.
However, the museum’s plan saw notable changes in 2008. A new restaurant was built to the top left corner of the building, while the temporary exhibition room was moved to the west of it, which is twice bigger than the previous one. Furthermore, the shop and the bags and coats were a little bit expanded and relocated to the south west of the museum, which was previously occupied by a temporary exhibition room. Meanwhile, the cafe, the tickets(entrance/exit) and the garden remained unchanged, there were included some fountains and a sitting area in the garden and a restroom was replaced just next to the cafe. Finally, these developments resulted in the disappearance of the permanent exhibition room on the left wing and the expansion on the right wing.
