The pie chart provides data on the three categories of workforce in Australia in 2003, while the line graph describes the unemployment rates of those categories in Australia from 1993 to 2003.
In general, the rates of unemployment fell in all categories over a decade. It is obvious that the employees born in Australia made up the majority of the total workforce in 2003.
It can be observed that employees born in English-conversant countries apart from Australia accounted for one-tenth of the total workforce. On the other hand, workers born in Australia constituted 76 percent of the total workforce which was the largest percentage among the three categories.
In 1993, the unemployment rate of workers born in non-English-Speaking countries was about 35%, while that of workers born in Australia was just under 40%. Meanwhile, the figure for employees born in English-Speaking countries other than Australia was 70% in 1993, which then dramatically dropped to 30% in 2003. The figures for the remaining categories were 10% and 20% respectively in 2003.
