The pie charts compare three different countries( Sweden, the UK, Republic of Korea) in terms of methods which are used to dispose of harmful waste. Units are given in percentages.
Overall, in most countries, underground disposal is a major technique to deal with hazardous waste. Of particular note is the UK puts most part of the waste into landfills.
Looking at the information in more detail, the UK disappear 82% of the waste by underground method and this figure is much higher compared to other countries, RK(22%) and Sweden(55%).The RK employs recycling for the 69% of waste that is three times higher than Sweden where one-quarter of waste is recycled; however, in the UK, no waste is recycled.
The UK uses other methods like chemical treatment and dumping at sea instead of recycling. For example, both dumping at sea and chemical treatment account for 8% of waste. Yet, it is clear that in Sweden and republic of Korea, these methods have not been evolved yet. Almost all countries employs incineration for less than 20% of waste, specifically, the Sweden stands out with the highest percentage(20%).
