The pie charts compare four retail sectors (film and music, travel, books, and clothes) in terms of their share of online shopping in New Zealand between 2003 and 2013. The units are given in percentages.
In general, while film and music and books accounted for 21% and 19% of online sales in 2003, travel and clothes were higher at 36% and 24%, respectively. By 2013, the shares of film and music and books had increased to 33% and 22%, whereas travel and clothes experienced declines to 29% and 16%, respectively.
Of particular note is that the travel and clothes sectors fell significantly, with both declining to just under one-tenth in 2013.
In 2013, film and music recorded a significantly higher share at around 12%, followed by books at approximately 3%. During the same period, the travel category fell sharply to 7%, while clothes stood slightly higher at 8%.
