The graphs describe how much UK people are interested in fitness to stay healthy. While the pie chart illustrates how the citizens use their 24 hours, the bar chart shows the difference in the number of hours with fitness between age groups and the sex.
Generally, focusing first on the bar chart, there is the gender distribution in the number of hours per week when people under 54 years-old spend doing exercises. On the contrary, looking at the data for people above 55, males and females show the same number of hours engaging in fitness.
Focusing on the details of the bar chart, men aged 18–24 spent 13 hours per week with fitness, recording 12 hours by women in the same age group. However, women from 25 to 54 consume 2 hours more than the men to maintain their physical strength.
Turning next to the pie chart, the proportion of hours for fitness accounts for 7%, meaning one hour and a half are spent with health-related activities. Moreover, sleep occupy one-third of the day and the rest is filled with other activities such as study, jobs and socializing.
In conclusion, people in all age categories are estimated to divide approximately an hour into their health care although there is a slight difference depending on the age and sex.
