The two pie charts illustrate the proportion of the native language spoken by individuals in two separate years from 1980 to 1990 at Bakersfield senior college.
Overall, it is clearly seen that English language consistently had the highest ratio among students. In contrast, other languages recorded a small percentage. whereas, Urdo and Chinese languages experienced noticeable growth.
In 1980, English was spoken by 70% of students, but this declined to 55% by 1990. Meanwhile, Urdu and Chinese spoken languages dramatically increased over the period of about 13% and 2% respectively. Other languages had the same ratio of 6% throughout the whole period.
Overall, despite changes in the languages proportion, The English language remaind the dominant category, while other languages showed the same pattern.
