The chart illustrates the percentage of 5 languages (which are English, Hindi, Urdu, Chinese, French) used by students of Cambridge college in 2007.
Overall, English was the dominant native language used in Cambridge while Urdu was the least spoken language of them all.
First, we can see that English and Hindi are two most popular dialects used in Cambridge. English accounted for 45 percent of total. Meanwhile, almost one third of the college population spoke Hindi. In total, there is 75 percent of students communicated in English and Hindi.
On the other hand, the least widely used mother tongue is Urdu, only possessed 2 percent of the chart. Moving on, we have two more lesser used native languages: Chinese and French. French was spoken by 13 percent of pupils and the remaining 10 percent learners talked in Chinese. It is worth noting that, the sum of students used French, Chinese and Urdu only accounted for one fourth of the chart, which is significant less than the combination of English and Hindi.
