The pie chart illustrates the proportion of people in different age groups in Indonesia who used the internet in 2020. Overall, the highest percentage of internet users were aged 18 to 24, accounting for two-fifths, while the smallest proportion, at only 5% , belonged to those aged 55 and over
In 2020, young people made up the largest group of internet users at 40% aged 18-24, followed by the 25 to 34 age group, which represented 30%. Combined, these two age groups accounted for over two-thirds of the population using the internet 2020.
In contrast, older individuals represented the smallest population of internet users. The figure for the 35 to 44 age group stood at 15%, while those aged 45 to 54 made up 10% of users. The lowest usage was observed among individuals aged 55 and above, at just 5%. In addition, there were twice as many internet users for those aged 25 to 34 as those aged 35 to 44.
