The pie chart shows the percentages of US household consumer expenditure by 10 major categories for previous year. Additionally, the bar chat shows the delegation of income in thousand of US dollars for both households and individuals for the same year.
The pie chart indicates that over half of all this income last year was spent on housing and transportation, at 33% and 18% respectively. While, smaller proportions were spent on food, insurance and pensions, health care, and entertainment with 13%,11%,7%, and 6% respectively. However, only 3% of income were spent on savings, apparel and other.
On the other hand, the bar chart demonstrates that the largest distribution of income for both households and individuals were for the bands $25,000 to $50,000 and $25,000 or less with 36% and 35% of individuals respectively, 24% and nearly a third of household respectively. Meanwhile, the tinniest amount income spent by bands $75,000 to $1,00,000 and $1,00,000 with only 6% and 7% of individuals each and 18% and 11% of household singly. While, the mid-range salary bands of $50,000 to $75,000 accounted for 16% of individuals and 18% of households.
