The pie charts demonstrate the age allocation of the populations of two countries, Brazil and Germany, in 5 decades.
It can be seen in the charts that the proportion of adults remained the highest, while the youth ratio decreased over time. Moreover, the seniors’ percentage increased with time.
Firstly, adults in Germany and Brazil held the highest percentage at 65% in the year 2000, but in Germany it is predicted to decline over the next 4 decades to 48% in the year 2050, while in the latter country it will rise to 70%. On the other hand, in Brazil, children from age (0-14) demonstrated a 30% ratio in the year 2000, which is estimated to fall to 17% in 2050.
Secondly, in Germany the youth proportion only fluctuated by 1% over the next 5 decades. Furthermore, people aged 65+ held a low ratio in the year 2000, only at 5%, but are expected to increase in the year 2050 to 13%. Alternatively, in Germany seniors demonstrated a 22% ratio and are estimated to increase to 40% in 2050.
