The presented pie chart depicts energy sources namely solar, wind, hydro, coal, oil, gas and other used in Australia in 2008 as well as predictions for 2030.
Overall, it can be seen that consumption of coal and others will decline in the future, while consumption of gas, oil and hydro will increase. Moreover, it is clearly seen that in the future there will be demand for geothermal energy.
In terms of, coal accounted for just under 40%, while this percentage will decline and generate just under 27% after 22 years. Additionally, other sources made up 3.80%, while this will decrease gradually and make up 3.60% in 2030. It is clearly seen that solar energy will be replaced by geothermal energy in the future and will generate 4.30%.
In terms of, the percentage of oil comprised 32.50% of the whole chart in 2008 and will add 3% in the future 2030. Moreover, the consumption of gas made up 22.90% in the first year and in the future consumption of gas will climb into more than a third. The consumption of wind made up 0.30% and 1.20% in 2008 and 2030 respectively, also hydro generated 0.20% and 0.70% in 2008 and 2030 respectively.
