The two pie charts provide information on the proportion of money used by young adults in Japan and Australia in 2019.
Overall, japanese teenagers spent over one-third of their allowance on video games while australian teenagers use the same portion of their money on food instead. However, teens from both countries spent the least on books.
According to one of the charts, teenagers in Japan spent the largest part of their pocket money on computer games, accounting for 37 percent of the total amount. Food and Clothes contributed almost the same amount to the expense, 22% and 20% respectively. Meanwhile, the rest of the spendings was on books and miscellaneous.
In Australia, food made up over 37% of the spending, followed by clothes which 25% of the allowance was spent on. Although japanese kids spent the most on video games, australian teens used only 22% of their pocket money on it. As in Japan, the books and clothes were the least bought.
