Young people in Japan allocated their spending to video/computer games, at 37%, whereas this category accounted smaller in Australia (just around 22%). By contrast, food represents much greater interest of Australian teens’ (approximately 37%) compared to the Japanese teens’.
A similiar pattern can be observed in clothing, where young people in Australia spent exactly a quarter of their money, meanwhile the figure for Australia slightly smaller, at 20%. Moreover books took up the lowest place either in Japan or Australia.
