The pie chart compares the proportion of different age groups of the users on various social media channels in Australia in 2011. Applications include: Facebook, Twitter, Linkeding, Google+ and Pinterest.
Overall, it was important that the proportion of all platforms’ users other than Facebook increased over the period of 2 years. Despite slight decrease of users in Facebook, it was the most preferred app followed by Twitter, Linkedin and Google+, while Pinterest remain the least favourite over the three years.
According to the diagrams, Facebook channel which was the most preferred app, even though it decreased dramatically for almost a fifth. Conversely, Twitter which was the second favourite channel, thereafter climbed to exactly a quarter in 2013. The figures for Linkedin were fairly similar at 10% at the beginning of the time, then improved to 15% after 2 years.
In addition, figures of Google+ and Pinterest accounted the same percentage(5%) in 2011, then Google+ rose twice as many as it was in 2011 by 2013 (10%), after one year it grow marginally to 14%. Meanwhile, Pinterest popularity grew up slightly from 6% in 2012 to 8% in 2013.
