The pie charts illustrated how individuals traveled to their workplaces in Rockingham city between 2005 and 2015.
Overall, the proportions of car and carpool used by Rockingham workers underwent downward trends, while bicycle and work at home’s statistics rised throughout the period. Additionally, the data for car was always highest, whereas the opposite was true for walk’s figure.
Initially, the percentage of cars driven by Rockingham citizens to work was greatest at 50%, followed by Carpool being the second-dominant at 25%. Over the next 10 years, the statistics for car and carpool witnessed reductions, with the former dropping considerably to 35%, and the latter slightly by 5%. However, these two means of transportation were still favoured the most by Rockingham labourers.
The figure for bicycle in 2015 was twofold higher than that in 2005, registering 5% and 10%, for each. Working at home’s percentage saw a minor increase of 5%. It was apparent that walk and bus’s proportions remained stable at 5% and 15%, respectively.
