The diagram illustrates the proportion of different faculty students spending an amount of time in a British university library – undergraduates, postgraduates, and the total student population.
Overall, it is evident that the proportion of undergraduates and the total had the highest number of hours from 1 to 7, while the proportion of postgraduates saw a significant increase at around 15+ hours in the library.
According to the image, the percentage of all students who spend 15+ hours accounted for 15% more than undergraduates, reaching a low of 9% time spent. Moreover, the proportion of postgraduates dramatically rose to 51%. From 8 to 14 hours, the average proportion of library spending time was 28% for undergraduates, 32% for postgraduates, and 35% for the total student body, respectively. Most of the time is spent in the library. The percentage of postgraduates who spent between 1 and 7 hours saw a noticeable decline to 17%, while all students remained at just over 50%. Undergraduates, at 63%, spent more time in the library.
