The charts below illustrates the percentage of rented and owned houses during year 1991 and 2017 in UK. During both time periods home owners percentage is higher compared to others. In 1991 there are 22 million homes which increased in 2007 with 27 million homes. The drastic change is housing showed that owned homes inceases from 60% to 70% from 19991 to 2007.
The second highest housing is social renting which decreases from 23% to 17% during the given time period. However, private renting remaine same during the years showing 11% of housing. Another drastic change is observed in social housing which declines from 6 percent in 1991 to only 2 percent in 2007.
In comparison, during both given years private renting ratio remains same without any change in its percentage. Moreover both social renting houses as well as private renting houses showed a decline in its percentage. Owned homes ratio are the highest in both periods.
