Overall, Chrome was the most visited desktop browser in both years. While Chrome, Firefox, and Other sites witnessed minor drops, Safari and Edge saw an increase in users over the next two years.
In 2019, Chrome occupied nearly a third quarter of usage share. Firefox, Safari, and Other sites were used by around a tenth for each platform, whereas Edge was used by only 5% of the whole population.
The usage of Chrome dropped by only two percent, falling from 69% to 67% after two years. Firefox saw a small drop from 9% to 8%, and Other desktop browsers fell from 8% to 6% in the year twenty twenty-one. The users of Safari and Edge, on the other hand, increased by 1% and 4%, rising from 9% to 10%, and 5% to 9%, between 2019 and 2021, respectively.
