Overeal, it can be seen that Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn were the most widely used social media in 3 years. Whilst the percentage of Twitter, LinkedIn, Google, and Pinterest users experienced a significant growth, the number of people using Facebook decreased steadily.
Though, the percentage of Facebook users declined gradually, it remained the most popular social media among others over 3 years (2011 – 59%, 2012 – 49%, 2013 – 38%). The second famous social media channel was Twitter, accounting for 21% users in 2011. Then, it rose gradually to 2% every 2 years, reaching a one-fourth (25%) of users in 2013. The third one was Google with 10% of users in 2011, it also increased moderately over 3 years, accounting for 15% in 2013.
Two remaining social media channel, which are Google and Pinterest, contained one-fifth of all users. The proportion of Google users went up in 3 years, 5%, 10%, and 14% respectively. Only 5% of people in 2011, 6% of people in 2012, 8% of people in 2013 used Pinterest.
