The pie charts demonstrate the proportion of water usage for a variety of purposes in several different areas in the world. Overall, while South America, Africa, central Asia, and southeast Asia use water mainly for agriculture, the remaining two regions, North America and Europe allocates water to industrial use. Moreover, all 6 areas devoted a very small percentage of water to domestic use.
Starting with the higher percentages first, central Asia, Africa, South East Asia, and South America allocate relatively similar proportions of water to agriculture, with 84%,88%, 81%, and 71%, respectively. Moreover, North America and Europe illustrate relatively small proportions, with just 39% and 32% of water usage.
On the other hand, in terms of industrial water use, shows comparably small percentages in every area. For instance, Africa and Central Asia devote around 5% to 7% , while it is doubled in areas such as Southeast Asia and South America, with 10% and 12% respectively. Therefore, North America and Europe demonstrate higher percentages from 48% to 53%.
By contrast, all 6 regions devoted a small proportion of water for domestic use. South America demonstrated approximately 19%, while it was just 9% in Africa. In continents such as Europe, allocated 15% of the water is allocated to domestic use, while South East Asia and Central Asia allocates mere 7%.
