Overall, at the beginning of the period, Google and Pinterest were the least favourite social media channel, while all the time Facebook remained the most significant one. In comparison, in the middle and at the end of the period only Pinterest became the largest favourable app.
In all three years, the percentage of facebook showed a notable decrease, dropping from 59% in 2011 to just 49% by 2012, and to 38% in 2013. This decline was most significant in the third period, where it fell by 11%. Even though it decreased every time, it remained the most favourable social media channel in all three periods.
In 2011, only 5% of people preferred the Google and Pinterest, but this figure rose by about 6%, with Google at 10%, and Pinterest at 6% in 2012. Likewise, the percentage of LinkedIn increased from 10% to 12% in the middle, and finally to 15% by the end. Similarly, the percentage of Twitter also growed. In 2012 it rose by 2% and accounted for 23%, and in the next year it made up 25%.
