In 2010, 38 percent of people left their hometowns and moved to Australia for specific job opportunities. In contrast, only 10 percent came to Australia in search of jobs. Interestingly, 57 percent of emigrants left Australia for this reason.
Touching on other reasons for migration, 22 percent of people chose to go to Australia for studying abroad, while 6 percent of citizens decided to pursue their education in other countries.
From this chart, we can conclude that people believe the better option is to work and study in fields that offer promising opportunities, particularly in European countries like Australia.
