Overall, the total car sales rose dramatically throughout the period. Notably, SUVs cars and others increased over the years while Sedanas saw a noticeable fall by the end of the timeframe.
In 1994, the total number of vehicles sold were 42,900, with Sedanas making up the largest share (74%). However, this figure experienced a steady decline to 62% in 2004 and to 51% in 2013. Meanwhile, SUVs which started at only 7%, grew rapidly in the following decade to 17% but then stayed unchanged until I 2013.
By contrast, remaining “others” followed an upward pattern. In 1994, 19% of “others” car types were sold, after 10-years this figure reached 21%. 2013 witnessed a rise in car sales and account almost a
third of the chart dominated by “others”. The total number of cars increased to 85,000, up from 71,000 in 2004
