The data illustrates a comparison of the different types of energy production of France in 1995 and a decade after in 2005.
Both coal and gas expanded slightly while still both being the man types of energy production in both years. Same trend was seen in nuclear power and other which even by expanding more both kept a relatively small proportion as a way to produce energy. On the other hand, Petroleum significantly lost its share of production.
Coal and gas both gained around 1% and remained as the most popular way to produce energy with first one going from 29.80% in 1995 to 30.93% 10 years later and gas increased from 29.63% to 30.63%. On the other hand, nuclear stations and other ways of producing energy significantly expanded their capacity from only 4.90% to 10.10% and an increase from 4.90% in 1995 to a 9.10% both marking a 3.5% increase in energy production.
In contrast Petro made less energy after 10 years decreasing from an astonishing 29.27%share to only 19.55% losing more than 9% in the course of the time period. This can show that governments are choosing to use less petroleum to produce energy
