The pie charts indicate the data of boys and girls participating in a diverse range of activities exhibiting personal culture and leisure interests. In general, there are common activities for these two genders including playing computer games, listening to music and reading. However, other figures suggest that boys are more into intense sports while girls are fond of traditionally feminine ones.
According to the charts, it is easily seen that immersing in computer games (34%) is the most favourable activity for boys; while the percentage of girls playing these is just nearly a half, which accounts for 16%. Another discrepancy in these two genders preference is witnessed in reading activity where only 2% of boys spend time on it, yet 21% girls claim it to be their hobby. However, there is a similarity in the rate of the respondents listening to music as one-tenth of both boys and girls admit that they enjoy this activity.
Turning to other data, boys seem to be more keen on sports that would require more muscular skills such as basketball, soccer or skateboarding. Basketball is their second most popular sport with 26% teenage boys joining it; besides, soccer is also considered to be a common activity with 17% of participants. On the other hand, dancing, which is a less intensely physical activity, is favoured by 27% of girl correspondents, making it the most popular activity for them. Other less common sports for girls, namely netball and gymnastics, are followed by 15% and 11% of them respectively.
