The plans illustrate the changes made to the ground floor of the building across three different time phases, from 1958 to the present.
Overall, it can be seen that the building was used for three different purposes, initially it was designated as working area in 1958, then the building transformed into residential accommodation in 1985, finally into a flower shop. Numerous modifications happened in the rooms, all of them had own purpose due to the frequent changes in the function of each room.
Regarding the conversion of the workplace into a residential area, all of the rooms changed their functions, except the kitchen. Notably, the manager’s office and the reception area were reconfigured to accommodate two bedrooms. Additionally, the meeting room and the assistant’s office merged into one huge living room. The toilet and secretary’s room underwent similar combination, transforming into a bathroom and shower room that were massive
as living room.
In the last phase, the room functions changed significantly again. Only the kitchen position did not alter the purpose, indicating that the kitchen was the most consistent room compared to other locations. Furthermore, the half of the living room and bathroom were removed to open space for the flower zone and gift cards and play area respectively. Eventually, the bedroom above reconstructed into office and the one below was remodeled into a flower zone.
