The maps illustrate the developments that occured in the layout of the museum over the period of 50 years (1957-2007). Overall, the museum witnessed a drastic transformation throughout the period given, becoming less greenary and more constructions by adding new facilities: cafe, education center and special exhibitions.
In 1957, there were only three rooms: the local history room, and the museum store-room in opposite sides, and national history exhibitions in the far side. Moreover, the footpath running from the road to the entrance was surrounded by trees. The garden can be also seen to the northeast of the museum.
By 2007, significant changes took place in the museum. The footpath was removed. Furthermore, a new reception and a cafe were constructed in where the local history room and museum store-room had been, respectively. The local history room relocated to the north of the cafe, while adjacent to the reception, a new museum shop with the entrance in the south was erected. A new education center and special exhibitions were added in the far side of the museum. The trees in the southeast was cut down to make room for a new car park. Although the garden remained unchanged throughout the period, the greenary area surrounding the construction of the museum was reduced.
